Music for the Eyes 2025#2

This large-scale composition deploys a rigorous vocabulary of circles, stripes, and diamond motifs to generate an optical field of rhythm and tension. Highly saturated hues are organised into layered bands, their relationships complicated by diagonally striated yellow lines that cut across the surface.

The work resonates with Op Art legacies while extending them toward a more contemporary meditation on information density, sensory saturation, and the destabilisation of perception.

About the art

Details

The repeated circular forms, each filled with distinct geometric patterns, act as both stabilising anchors and disruptive agents, pulling the viewer’s eye into constant movement.

The result is a surface that oscillates between order and chaos: a structured grid under pressure from excess, where harmony competes with visual overload.
